Drawing Skills (Starting 26th February 2026)
Take your drawing to the next level! Each week we will cover a different aspect of drawing. This will include subjects such as composition, mark-making, materials knowledge, proportions, comparative measurement, perspective, value balancing, shading techniques, etc. With clear explanations, demonstrations, exercises and critiques, you will gain the foundational skills and the confidence to accurately depict the people and the world around you. For beginners, improvers or anyone wishing to gain a more technique-based approach.Materials used: pencil, charcoal, white pastel, pen and ink.
Classes run : Thursdays 12.45pm - 2.45pm
Cost: £110 per 5 week block. Block booking only. All materials included.
Monthly All-Day Portrait Sessions
Next available session: Sunday 19th April 2026
10am - 4pm with half hour lunch break. Model sits in single long pose. Untutored. Bring your own materials. £35

Portrait Classes
Guided weekly portrait sessions running in 5-8 week blocks at Nether Edge Art School, Sheffield. Improve your portrait drawing and painting skills and learn new techniques in supportive friendly studio sessions. All abilities welcome!
Classes run : Wednesdays 6.45pm - 8.45pm
The next block of 5 classes begins 25th February 2026 at a cost of £92.50

Paint and Draw
Guided weekly art sessions running in 5-8 week blocks at Nether Edge Art School, Sheffield. Give yourself the time and space to improve your drawing or painting techniques and stretch your creativity. All abilities welcome!
Classes run: Tuesdays 6.45pm - 8.45pm,
Wednesdays 10am - 12 noon, Wednesdays 1pm - 3pm, Thursdays 6.45pm - 8.45pm

Oil Painting For Beginners All-Day workshop

If you don't know where to start, or are overwhelmed by the bewildering range of materials on sale, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge you need to paint a picture in oil from start to finish, and to buy the right products for your project.
The morning will be spent on product explanations. The afternoon will be spent painting a simple still life with step-by-step demonstrations.
10am - 4.30pm with a half hour lunch break
